PROMS in the Park comes to Caldecott Park on Sunday (August 30) featuring an award-winning brass band.
Families are invited to bring a picnic along for the early evening concert, which will be performed by the current All England and Midland Area Champion Brass Band, Virtuosi GUS.
Organisers hope an audience of up to 1000 people will attend the concert, which will feature many popular items culminating in a Last Night of the Proms-style finale.
Director of Lead Event Management Louise Davis said: “This is our first concert in Rugby but it is one we feel passionately about. It is an opportunity for families and friends to come together to enjoy an evening of quality music in a relaxed environment.
“We are passionate about increasing the profile of and interest in Brass Music in the Rugby area and beyond and are already planning further events for later this year. We are delighted that the Midlands’ leading Brass Band have agreed to be our featured artist for this event.”
Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7pm, cost £12 (£10 concessions, and under 10s free).
