COMEDY thriller Murdered to Death is coming to Lutterworth College courtesy of Wycliffe Drama Group next week.

The spoof of Agatha Christie murder mysteries, written by Peter Gordon, is set in a country manor house in the 1930s.

It stars a cast of quirky characters including Bunting the butler (Richard Holyoak), an eccentric colonel with the prerequisite stiff upper lip (Duncan Sanderson), a shady French art dealer (Russ Crooks) and his moll (Becky Harwood), a bumbling police inspector (Dickie Wood) and Miss Maple, a well-meaning sleuth who seems to attract murder wherever she goes (Hazel Maher).

As the characters get caught up in the antics which follow the mysterious death of the house’s owner, it soon becomes clear that the murderer isn’t finished yet, but will he or she be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom?

Other cast include Mildred (Jane Clark), Dorothy (Mel Lee), Margaret Craddock (Mary McDermott) and PC Thompkins (Andrew Spencer). The play is directed by Richard Hill and produced by Lynn Jackson.

The play runs from Thursday October 8 to Saturday October 10 at Lutterworth College, Bitteswell Road, Lutterworth. Tickets cost £10 (£8 concessions) and are available from Aspect Stationers in Lutterworth or by calling 07913 880663.
