AN ANNIVERSARY extravaganza show is being put on by a Rugby dance school in Lutterworth this weekend.

Dancers from Jaide’s Stage Studios are celebrating 15th years under the lights with anniversary show Just Dance at Lutterworth College Theatre on Friday and Saturday (June 26 and 27).

The show involves around 70 dancers aged between four and 21 performing a variety of routines, including modern, ballet, tap, acro and lyrical, ending with a grand finale.

Founder Jaide Ellery-Martin said: “My students have worked really hard to make this a success and are really excited to be performing on stage which they absolutely love.

“I am so proud it will be really difficult to keep my emotions intact, as watching it all come together is such a brilliant reward for us all.”

Jaide founded the school in 2000 when she was 14, and registered as a non-profit making charity in 2008. The charity offers free and subsidised placements to the disadvantaged, the under-privileged, families on low incomes, those with special needs and ethnic minorities.

TV Celebrity and famous ballet dancer Wayne Sleep became patron of the school after running a dance workshop there. Members of the award-winning school have danced at the London Palladium, Her Majesty’s Theatre, The Ricoh Arena and Disneyland Paris.

Tickets can be obtained by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01788 562729 (answerphone).
