EMERGENCY fire crews were called to the Cemex plant in Rugby to battle a blaze in the early hours of yesterday morning.
A fire broke out within a three-story cement storage building at the Lawford Road site just after 4am on Tuesday (June 23). Two fire crews entered the building wearing breathing apparatus to fight the fire.
It took the firefighters over 40 minutes to eventually put out the fire.
In March a blaze broke out within the coal mill on site, and in September last year the eight-story building was damaged by a tyre fire.
