PERFECT conditions met Rugby Racing and Cycling Club riders for the annual visit to the Newnham hill climb which acts as the last club event of the season.
Simon Hall was crowned in a time of 2:20.4, although this was almost 18 seconds off the club record for the event.
The entry this year was a disappointing 13 proving perhaps that time-trialling differs from hill-climbing where power to weight ratio is all important.
