ELDERLY and lonely people in Rugby are invited to take lunch at a church near the town centre.
Rugby United Reformed Church in Hillmorton Road is offering two course lunches every Friday.
The lunches, which are open to anyone, cost just £6 – and the church also offers £1 takeaway boxes of leftovers.
Simon Burne, one of the volunteer organisers, said: “The Community Lunch has been going for over 20 years and is very popular.
“We have space to welcome more people. Why not come along and give it a try? It’s fun, friendly, warm and welcoming – as well as offering delicious food, tea and coffee.”
