THE first-ever competitive meeting between Rugby Town and Rugby Borough took place last weekend with more than 1,000 spectators in attendance.
A second-half goal from Lindon Meikle settled the contest as the Borough man headed in the game’s only goal at Butlin Road.
Borough came away with the local bragging rights as Valley failed to make the most of home advantage in the historic derby clash.
