FATHER Christmas made an unscheduled stop at Rugby Services.
Santa Claus and his reindeer took a break at Moto Rugby Services, off junction one of the M6, to greet children, pose for photos and hand out early gifts.
It was part of a promotion for motorway rewards app Pitstop, as motorway travel becomes more stressful and unpredictable during the festive season.
Pitstop Director Phil Diamond said: “We wanted to have a little festive fun this year – but the message behind it is real.
“Motorway journeys are getting busier and more unpredictable, especially around Christmas, and motorway service areas are a key way to lighten the load.”
Pitstop predicts today (Friday December 19) will be the busiest day on the roads, and that services across the Midlands will see heavy footfall throughout December 20 to 23.
