Rugby Town dumped out of the FA Cup at Worcester

THE FA Cup dream is over for Rugby Town for another year after they were dumped out of the historic competition by Worcester City.

The Conference North outfit claimed a 3-1 victory to make sure their name was in the hat for the next round at the expense of The Valley.

All the goals came in the second half with the hosts going two goals up shortly after the break through goals from Sean Geddes and Jacob Rowe.

Jamie Towers pulled on back for Rugby with 15 minutes remaining at Aggborough when he found the net from close range after Alex Gudger’s shot was blocked on the line.

But Worcester secured the win late on as Geddes found the top corner with a piledriver for his second of the match.
