Tickets selling well for Warwickshire cricket clash

Rugby Editorial 21st May, 2014 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

TICKETS for Warwickshire County Cricket Club’s return to Rugby School are on course to sell out.

The Observer has been told the Visitor Centre has requested more tickets for the game against Kent on Sunday, August 10 with the original allocation from the club already running low.

Warwickshire played their inaugural first team match at the school last summer and, after a capacity crowd of 3000 enjoyed a sun-soaked T20 fixture with Glamorgan, the club is returning for a 50-overs per side match.

Anyone who buys a ticket, priced at £15 each, can get a £20 discount off a ticket for the one day international between England and Sri Lanka on June 3.

Simon Gardener, manager of the Visitor Centre, said: “The Bears match looks set to sell out fast after the success of last year’s inaugural game at Rugby School.

“We’re delighted to be able to offer cricket fans the added bonus of a discounted ticket for the England game at Edgbaston, but fans should book quickly to avoid missing out.”
