Lutterworth girl takes the chop to help ill children

A KIND Lutterworth girl has chopped off her long locks so they can be worn by ill children with no hair.

Natalie Smith-Howell says she is proud of her 8-year-old daughter Brodie, who pledged seven inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust – only to then up her donation to 11 inches when the scissors came out.

Natalie said: “All the family are so proud of her and think its a lovely thing to do.

“The Little Princess Trust uses donated hair to make wigs for ill children who have none. The children will be able to brush thier hair, something we do every day without thinking about it.

“Brodie said she will probably do this again.”

Brodie, a pupil at Sherrier Primary School, is also collecting sponsors and donations – so far amounting to £420 – as the purchased wigs cost the Trust on average around £350 each.

To help her fundraising cause, stylists at Eclipse Hair in Lutterworth cut, washed and styled her new ‘do for free,
