GREEN-FINGERED youngsters from Boughton Leigh Infant School celebrated International Carrot Day with a bumper harvest from their own vegetable plots.
The school’s Team Green Gardening Club celebrated the occasion by harvesting their own carrots.
The children planted the seeds last year and have been looking after them carefully ever since.
Each pupil was able to take a carrot home and the remains will be used to make carrot cakes to share with the rest of school.
As part of the gardening club, the children take part in all aspects of gardening, from weeding and sowing seeds to transplanting and pruning.
