Rugby Editorial 19th Feb, 2016 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

POTENTIALLY harmful medication has gone missing in Rugby.

A rucksack containing a box of Nitrazepam prescription tablets was stolen from a bus stop in Rugby on Wednesday (February 17).

At around 8pm, a man got on a bus on Murray Road but realised he left his bag at the bus stop. When he returned, the bag was missing.

The black Nike rucksack also contained a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, a charger, a pair of jeans and a top. The mobile phone has now been switched off.

Police urged anyone who finds the medication to hand it into their nearest police station or chemist as soon as possible, warning the tablets should not be consumed.

If you witnessed the bag being taken or have any information on the theft, please call police on 101, quoting incident 67 of February 18.

Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, via 0800 555 111 or their website.
