OBSTRUCTIVE and illegal parking in villages north of Rugby has prompted a crackdown by police.
Officers from Rugby Rural North Safer Neighbourhood Team are targeting unlawful parking in the residential streets in and around Wolvey, Monks Kirby, Stretton-under-Fosse, Pailton, Harborough Magna and Churchover after an increase in complaints from residents.
A police spokesman said enforcement would take place where cars were parked on double yellow lines, within 10 metres of or opposite any junction, or blocking all or part of a dropped curb.
