FOUR-TIME British Masters Sidecar Grasstrack Champion Mark Cossar will be making a special appearance at this Sunday’s Bikefest.
The popular town centre event, which runs from 10am until 4pm, will give race fans a chance to not only meet and greet the local champion, but also see the 1,000cc mean machine that he will be riding at Brandon on June 3 for the big forthcoming sidecar speedway event.
“Because I’m usually racing on Sundays I’ve not been to get to Rugby Bikefest before,” said Cossar. “So I’m really pleased to have a rare day off, although I’ll still be surrounded by bikes!
“This is a great showcase for Rugby. I think it’s excellent for our town that the Council, Rugby First and local businesses can work together with those who run motor cycle clubs to put Bikefest together.”
Cossar also welcomed the news that ticket prices for what could be the last ever sidecar meeting at the home of Coventry speedway at Brandon are priced at just £10 for adults and children under 16 enter for free.
