RUGBEIANS have voted in favour of leaving the European Union – more resoundingly than the UK as a whole.
33,199 people voted Leave – 57 per cent of all Rugby votes cast. The national vote was just 52 per cent in favour of Leave.
The Remain campaign polled 25,350 votes in Rugby – 43 per cent.
Nearly 10,000 more people voted than in last year’s General Election – a total of 58,549 people, representing a 79 per cent turnout.
