RUGBY and Bulkington MP Mark Pawsey has thanked voters.

Mr Pawsey secured the seat once again with 27,872 votes, followed by Labour’s Claire Edwards with 19,660; Lib-Dem Richard Dickson with 2,851; the Green’s Graham Bliss with 953.

The Conservative MP said:  “May I thank the voters of Rugby and Bulkington for placing their confidence in me to serve a further term.

“For me this has been an election like no other partly because of the horrific events which took place during the campaign. While we remember them it’s not a bad time to also remember those who keep us safe generally and thank you to the police who have been here tonight.

“May I thank my campaign team who have been out and about with me. We have heard very much the issues people want us to address.

“My debt and gratitude is to the people of Rugby and Bulkington for giving me the honour of representing them in parliament which I intend to do to the best of my ability over the coming months and years.”
