A day 'in the pink' to raise money for breast cancer charity

A DAY ‘in the pink’ will raise money for a breast cancer charity in October.

After raising nearly £800 to help fight the disease at a Look Good, Feel Good evening at the Tuning Fork restaurant in June, Sofya Events is hosting a Wear It Pink ladies evening on October 18 at Brandon Hall Hotel in Brandon.

It will feature 24 suppliers, live demonstrations, a caricaturist and a circus acrobatic act. Rugby Mayor Belinda Garcia will show her support in person.

Angela from The Image Angel will give a colour analysis demonstration on how to choose ‘your pink’, while Katie from Everyday Matters will demonstrate the latest products for a non invasive face-lift.

And Kerry Mooney from Knitted Knockers will showcase the charity’s handmade breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies or other breast procedures.

Organiser Ann Pendlebury said: “We hope to put on a fun evening for our guests, but as always we want to raise more funds for the charity, this time for Breast Cancer Now.”

The event kicks off at 7.30pm. Guests are encouraged to wear pink.

The first 50 tickets sold will come with a goodie bag and a complimentary drink on arrival.
