A CRASH victim found lying in the road in Monks Kirby last week has died in hospital.
Nicholas Veasey, 34, from Nuneaton, passed away on Friday (March 30).
He was rushed to hospital on Wednesday March 28 after being found lying in the road next to his ditched silver Peugeot 206 in Mere Lane, near the junction with Copston Lane, at around 11.45pm.
Warwickshire Police is issuing the following statement on behalf of his family: “Nicholas was a father and a son, who leaves behind his two young children. They are currently being supported by family during this sad time.”
Sergeant Leanne Mason of Warwickshire Police said: “Our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
“We are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or saw the vehicle in the moments leading up to the incident, to please contact police.”
