THE FORMER premises of a fleet of coaches in Marton will come back to life on Saturday (May 26) in memory of its founder.
The memorial event for Harry Aston, who ran a fleet of coaches from the village in the 50s and 60s, takes place from 10am to 4pm.
Harry founded Aston’s Coaches in 1949 at the petrol station in Marton, formerly known as Bridge Garage Marton. It closed in 1970, two years after his death.
The memorial day will feature displays of classic vehicles, vintage bus rides, Morris dancers, charity stalls and more at various locations around Marton, including Marton Garage, the Essence of India car park, Marton Playing Fields and Marton Museum of Bygones.
A raffle and tombola will be held, with all proceeds going to charity.
