AN EXHIBITION of photography and drawings celebrating the importance of the human face opens at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum’s Floor One Gallery on Saturday (July 28).
The Face is a collaboration between artists and photographers Robin Vallance and Gordon Millar.
They say their work explores ‘the importance of the human face in the way in which it can be read as an expression of an individual’s personality and a record of their unique history’.
Robin is concerned with real people in the real world and sees engaging directly with them as an important part of his work, while Gordon depicts totally imaginary faces of people who might have existed.
Related projects for children will take place alongside the exhibition, which runs until August 9.
