THE COFFERS of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance have grown thanks to money raised at last month’s Clifton-upon-Dunsmore Village Fete.
A cheque for just over £4,000 was presented to the charity – over £2,400 of it raised by the Parish Council at the fete, with a further £1,600 raised by the residents’ Jubilee Group.
Parish Councillor Alastair Robinson, who led the fete management group, said: “We are so proud to be presenting this to the Air Ambulance on behalf of the residents of the village, and are grateful for the support provided by our main sponsor, Urban & Civic, who provided kickstart funding for this year’s event.”
The Parish Council is planning a festive event on December 9 to raise money for homelessness charity Hope4.
