A FIRE broke out at the derelict Avon Mill pub last night (Wednesday January 9).
Two fire engines rushed to the former pub in Newbold Road after receiving calls just before 7pm.
A third crew arrived soon after to help tackle the blaze, which spread to 50 per cent of the first floor.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reels and large water jets to extinguish the fire.
It follows a campervan catching fire in the pub’s car park at around midnight on Sunday (January 6), which police are treating as arson.
A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said enquiries into last night’s fire were ‘ongoing’.
