Hospice offering support for carers

Andy Morris 13th Jan, 2019   0

CARERS in need of some care for themselves are invited to The Myton Rugby Day Hospice.

People who care for a family member, friend or neighbour and need some support can meet people in a similar position and chat to experienced staff and volunteers.

Attendees are welcome to bring the person they care for.

Rugby Day Hospice Sister Camilla Lines said: “These sessions are a chance for carers to meet other carers to share experiences and chat, and we want to find out what matters to them.

“Carers are so important to the people they are looking after and they need support too. It’s a safe and informal environment and those who attend will have people who understand what they do on hand to talk to.”

The sessions take place between 10am and midday on the second Monday of every month, starting from Monday (January 14).

Sessions are free and booking is not necessary. Call the hospice on 01788 550085 for more information.
