LAWRENCE Sheriff students achieved a pass rate of 100 per cent in their A-Levels.
Some 67 per cent of entries gained A*-B grades, and every student who took the new vocational qualification in Engineering achieved a Distinction or Distinction*.
Seven students have gained places at Oxford or Cambridge, with nine others progressing on to medical courses. Over 90 per cent of students are expected to move on to Higher Education, with the remainder proceeding to some form of apprenticeship.
Headteacher Peter Kent said: “The government is clear that A-Levels have become tougher over recent years, and in the light of this it is tremendous to see that our results both for A-Levels and vocational courses have remained consistently high.
“This will be the final year in which an all male cohort takes A-levels at the school with co-education now well established in the Sixth Form, and the boys should be proud of their achievements.
“I would like to congratulate them and those who taught them on a great set of results.”
