THE ANNUAL Rugby Interfaith Forum Peace Walk took place in the town centre on Sunday (September 15).
Mayor Bill Lewis joined members of the public for a walk around several of the faith groups in Rugby.
Participants gathered at the Peace Tree next to Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, where a member of the Baha’i Faith introduced this year’s theme of Faith in Action – specifically social and environmental action undertaken in the local community.
The Walk then continued to the Christian church of St Andrew’s in Church Street, the Hindu Temple Shree Kalyan Mandal in Kimberley Road and the Sikh Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Craven Road.
At each faith centre, a description was given of that community’s approach to the theme, set against a background of readings and prayers drawn from the faith.
The walk ended with refreshments offered by the Sikh community at the Gurdwara.
