Windfall helps young footballers get kitted out

Rugby Editorial 24th Jan, 2020   0

YOUNG footballers have been given a windfall to buy new kit and equipment.

Rugby Borough Juniors have received £1,000 – £500 each for the under-10s and unde- 7 Tigers – as part of the Persimmon Homes Central’s Community Champions scheme.

The cash will go towards training equipment and new kit.

Tigers manager Tarlochan Nandhra said: “The onus is on the teams to secure their own funding, and we are looking to buy equipment that will help to keep the boys dry during the winter months.

“Support like this is hard to come by and we can’t thank Persimmon enough for their donation.”
