A SUSPECTED crack dealer was arrested at Rugby Train Station on Wednesday (February 12) as part of an ongoing clampdown on county lines drug gangs.

Detectives from Rugby Proactive CID spotted a man passing an item, believed to be drugs, to members of the public on Railway Terrace at around 11.20am.

He went into the railway station where he was arrested, and found to have a ‘significant quantity’ of what is believed to be crack cocaine.

The 22-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
