A SUSPECT has been charged in connection with the theft of a pick-up truck which rammed a police car during a chase.
Officers tried to stop a Ford Ranger in Brownsover on January 22 but it sped off.
It was pursued through Rugby, into Clifton, onto the A5 and into Catthorpe – where it disabled the police car by reversing into it three times.
The Ford was stolen from Northamptonshire on January 15 and was found abandoned the day after the pursuit.
On Friday (February 14), Joe Partridge of Rugby was charged with dangerous driving, taking the vehicle without the owners consent and driving without insurance, and was remanded to court.
