A HEAD-ON collision on the A426 Rugby Road between Rugby and Lutterworth has left two motorists injured in hospital.
A heavy goods vehicle and a lorry crashed while travelling in opposite directions near Cotesbach at around 1.55am today (Friday March 20).
The drivers, both men, were taken to University Hospital Coventry where they remain in a condition described as life-changing.
The road has been closed from the Spitfire Island to the junction of Shawell Road while police investigate.
Det Con Anita Rose from Leicestershire Police’s serious collision investigation unit said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision itself or the vehicles being driven beforehand.
“If anyone has a dash cam installed in their vehicle and captured what happened they are also urged to get in touch.”
