Class A drugs seized and two arrested in Rugby

CLASS A drugs have been seized following an incident in Rugby.

Two people have been arrested after officers saw a suspected drug deal taking place.

They were patrolling on Avon Street at 2.30pm on Wednesday (June 24) and seized drugs – believed to be crack cocaine and heroin. A 29-year-old man from Nottingham was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.

He has been bailed until July 17 pending further enquiries.




The officers were then on Newbold Road shortly afterwards when they noticed a woman acting suspiciously.

Drugs – believed to be class A – were seized and the 20-year-old from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.


She has been released under investigation.
