FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a cow stuck in a river.
Crews from Southam and Rugby Fire Stations worked with local farmers to rescue a large cow who had become stuck in reeds and water on a farm in Marton on Sunday evening (August 9).
A fire service spokesman said: “The animal was successfully released, seemingly fit and well although exhausted from all the excitement.
“Thank you to everyone for their hard work.”
