Local company sees record growth throughout pandemic

A LOCAL company is bucking the trend and has seen record growth throughout the pandemic.

Austin Healey and Sprite parts specialist A H Spares has shipped more parcels and received more online orders than ever before since March.

Over the last six months the Southam-based company has seen a 45 per cent increase in the number of parcels it has shipped, and online sales rocket by nearly 40 per cent.

Director Rebecca Kemsley said: “A H Spares has seen a record growth since March, no doubt in part as more people have been at home with the free time to carry out restoration projects, large or small, on their Healey which might not have been possible before.”

The family business was founded in 1972 and is now in its third family generation.

It is the biggest supplier of replacement parts for Austin Healey models.

Rebecca added: “A H Spares ships out orders across the world, with the USA in particular being a strong market as many models were shipped stateside, so it is especially pleasing to see the export side also performing beyond expectations. In fact, we recently sent a chassis to Hawaii and another to Puerto Rico.”
