SANTA will tour the streets of Rugby again this December – while maintaining social distancing.
The Rugby Rokeby Lions community group will bring St Nick and his sleigh to neighbourhoods around the town in the run-up to Christmas – with a few changes to the usual routine.
Volunteers will not be knocking on doors for donations to local good causes this year, so Santa is setting up an online donation page which he will share with everyone soon – and there will be collection bags on long poles for those who want to donate on the day.
Santa is asking everyone to stay at their front doors or front garden and adhere to the two metre distancing rule, and not to approach the sleigh.
Father Christmas also cannot give out sweets this year, and cannot add any extra roads to his planned route.
Rounds begin at either 5pm or 6pm. Specific times and roads will be confirmed shortly. Visit https://www.facebook.com/RugbyRokebyLionsClub for updates.
