Four arrested in connection with drink driving in Warwickshire over the weekend

FOUR people have been arrested in connection with drink driving incidents over the weekend.

At around 11.40pm on Friday (April 23), a 53-year-old man from Leamington was arrested after a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike in Scott Road, Leamington. He was later charged with drink driving and is due to appear before Coventry Magistrates on May 11.

A 28-year-old man from Coventry was arrested when the car he was driving was stopped due to a moving traffic offence just after 1.40am on Saturday (April 24) in Leicester Road, Rugby. He was later charged with drink driving and driving without insurance and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on May 11.

At 10.45pm on Saturday (April 24) a 26 year old man from Longford in Coventry was arrested at a petrol station in Coventry Road, Exhall. He was later charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs and driving with no insurance, and is due to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on June 11.




A 32 year old man from Whitnash was arrested at 10pm on Sunday (April 25) and later charged with drink driving after the vehicle he was driving was found with collision damage on the A46 Leek Wootton roundabout between Warwick and Leamington. He is currently scheduled to appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on May 21.
