RUGBY Borough moved top of the table following a comfortable 3-0 victory at St Neots Town.
Second-half goals from Cyrus Bruce, Luke Downes and Antonio Cristofaro sealed the points for Borough at Rowley Park.
The result means Rugby lead the United Counties League Premier Division South table after winning all three of their league matches so far this season.
St Neots started the better of the two teams as Borough goalkeeper John Meadows made a number of saves to keep the scores level heading into the break.
The visitors improved after the break and broke the deadlock when the St Neots goalkeeper attempted to clear only for the ball to ricochet off his own defender and into the path of substitute Bruce who rolled the ball into an empty net.
And Rugby doubled their lead just two minutes later as Bruce crossed for Downes to smash home into the roof of the net from point-blank range.
Borough sealed the points when Bruce played the ball into the path of fellow sub Cristofaro who drove into the box before finding the bottom left corner.
Rugby are next in action against Northampton ON Chenecks on Wednesday, August 14 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kilsby Lane.
