Nursery near Rugby celebrates being named best in the UK

THE ‘OVERWHELMED’ staff of a nursery near Rugby have celebrated being named the best in the UK at a national award ceremony.

The Old Rectory Nursery in Frankton won Individual Nursery of the Year at The National Nursery Awards in London.

The award recognises an individual nursery which has created the ‘best environment to promote the very highest levels of childcare and staff morale’.

Judges were particularly moved by the impact staff had on children’s learning and development, demonstrating ‘a truly personal connection with the parents to provide support’.

Owner Libby Wilson said: “We have always believed our little nursery was something special as we genuinely love what we do – some days are more challenging than others but always rewarding – however we never expected to win such a prestigious award.

“It is almost overwhelming, we cannot quite believe our nursery and our wonderful team has been recognised in this way.

“What a fabulous way to end the year.”

At the ceremony, Deputy Manager Clare King accepted the award on behalf of the nursery.

She said: “I feel an enormous sense of pride. Winning this award is not only an incredible accolade to take into 2025 and beyond, it fills us with such a huge feeling of self belief, recognition, honour and pride.”
