Sponsored firewalk in Rugby to raise money for Cats Protection this weekend

A SPONSORED firewalk is taking place in Rugby this weekend to raise money for Cats Protection.

The Rugby branch of the charity is hosting the fiery fund-raiser so it can continue its work rehoming unwanted and abandoned cats in the community.

A Cats Protection spokesperson said: “As a charity, we rely solely on the generosity and kindness of people to enable us to continue the vital work that we do, caring for cats and kittens.

“Participating in the firewalk for Cats Protection is the perfect way to challenge yourself and raise money to help cats in need. Just imagine that sense of achievement when you cross the finish line, knowing you’ve helped to raise funds to give unwanted and abandoned cats and kittens a better life.

“Join us and help us raise funds for the many unwanted and abandoned cats in your community. Together we can make a real difference.”

The firewalk takes place at The Barley Mow in Main Street, Newbold from 5pm on Saturday (February 15). Visit www.cats.org.uk/RugbyFirewalk for more information or to register.
