RUGBY cyclist Rob O’Connor claimed a second stage win in the Stallard Series to lead the competition after two races.
O’Connor backed up his opening stage win in Dorset with another victory in Peterborough.
The 40-mile road race took place over six laps with a daunting uphill ride to the finish.
And O’Connor timed his charge to perfection to take the lead as five other riders joined him in the leading group.
The riders maintained a one-minute gap from the bunch as all six riders prepared for a dramatic sprint finish.
And O’Connor sprinted clear just 100 metres from the line to take the stage win.
