ROB O’Connor, from Rugby, won gold in his first competitive track race at the British Masters National Track Championships.
O’Connor only started riding on the track as part of his training for road and circuit races at the start of the year.
And he won gold in the 40-lap points race in which riders score points every 10 laps.
O’Connor ended the race with the most points to take the gold medal at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome in Newport.
And the Rugby rider also won bronze in the scratch race – another 40-lap race with the first three riders across the line winning medals.
