BRYAN Kohyrelon scored a dramatic last-minute winner to send Rugby Borough top of the table with a 2-1 victory against Coleshill Town.
Kohyrelon netted a stunning solo goal to seal the points after Tendai Daire’s penalty put Borough ahead at Kilsby Lane.
Coleshill had Tyreace Brown sent off just past the hour mark only for Taylor Carter-Byrne to draw the visitors level seven minutes from time.
However, substitute Kohyrelon scored a late winner for the home side to send Borough top.
The result means Rugby sit top of the Northern Premier League Midlands table on goal difference, although the eight teams immediately below them in the table all have at least one game in-hand.
Borough went close early on as Daire narrowly missed the target from Amarvir Sandhu’s cross.
Coleshill spurned a glorious chance to take the lead later in the first half following a defensive mix-up in the Borough defence.
And Rugby made the visitors pay one minute before half time when Daire scored from the penalty spot after Sandhu drew a foul in the box following a mazy run.
Borough looked to extend their lead after the break as Daire twice failed to find the net before Sandhu fired narrowly wide.
And Coleshill then had Brown sent off on 66 minutes after he received a second yellow card.
Despite playing with a man less, Coleshill equalised on 83 minutes as Carter-Byrne rose highest at a corner to loop a header over Brandon Ganley in the Borough goal.
However, Borough reclaimed the lead in the final minute when Kohyrelon weaved his way past three defenders before coolly finding the bottom corner.
Rugby are next in action against Bedworth United on Saturday, October 4 with kick-off at 3pm at The Oval.
