Chance to meet new parents for support while complying with covid guidelines

Rugby Editorial 25th Feb, 2021   0

NEW parents are meeting to support each other while complying with coronavirus guidelines.

NCT Walk and Talk sessions allow organised parent support grounds to meet in larger numbers due to an exemption from restrictions.

The events allow mums and dads chance to meet with their babies and toddlers for a socially distanced walk.

Sessions are free but parents must have booked a ticket.

Leamington organiser and volunteer Alex Smith said: “The Walk and Talk tickets are going like hot cakes. It shows how desperate new mums and dads are to get out and meet others in the same boat.

“It’s especially important that new parents get this opportunity now as so many are feeling isolated, anxious and uncertain due to the pandemic. We’d love to hear from more mums and dads who are willing to volunteer to organise a walk in their area.”

The NCT is looking for volunteers to organise more walks due to huge demand locally.
