DALLAS Burston Polo Club raised over £5,000 for The Prince’s Trust at a fund-raising auction at its Ladies Day.

Businesses and organisations, including The Wasps, Live 24- Seven, Richard George Tailoring, XReflow and the Small Luxury Hotel Group, donated auction and raffle prizes.

Sarah Bowes of The Prince’s Trust said: “The Prince’s Trust is delighted to have benefitted once again from the Dallas Burston Ladies Polo Day.

“We believe that every young person should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities, so we help 11 to 30-year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives. The Prince’s Trust supports over 100 you people each day – this simply wouldn’t be possible without the generous fundraising raised at events like these.”

Major Carney explained why The Prince’s Trust was chosen.

“Supporting such a great cause like The Prince’s Trust is so important, giving young people a foundation in society is something that all businesses should embrace as they are the future and need to be nurtured.

“The Prince’s Trust helped 58,000 young people last year to turn their lives around, and the money raised from Ladies Day directly supports and develops those affected by boosting their confidence and giving them motivation to reach their dreams.”

The Prince’s Trust was founded by The Prince of Wales in 1976, giving young people the practical and financial support to move forward with their lives, helping them to gain a greater stake in our economy and society.

The trust has helped over 970,000 young people to date and supports over 100 more each day. Three in four young people supported by the charity move into work, education or training.
