DogFest offers doggie heaven for dog lovers

Rugby Editorial 27th May, 2022   0

DOG-LOVERS will be in doggie heaven at Ragley Hall this weekend.

DogFest, taking place on Saturday and Sunday (May 28 and 29), will feature activities from flyball to dog diving, together with over 150 shopping stands to meet every canine need.

Visitors will be invited to put their own pets through their paces, including an agility course, haybale racing, and a 2km or 4km dog walk through the grounds of the stately home near Alcester to raise funds for Dogs Trust.

Television presenter Michaela Strachan will be among those heading to the festival.

She said: “I absolutely love Dogfest. Being with hundreds of gorgeous pooches is simply the best day out.”

Expert advice will be available from the industry professionals, including animal behaviourist and trainer Adem Fehmi.

He said: “I’m really excited to be at Ragley Hall, where you’ll find me helping new and seasoned dog owners alike learn new ways to train their beloved pets in a fun and safe environment. I’m also looking forward to giving insight and advice into your dog’s behaviour and offering helpful training tips.”

And for those interested in re-homing a dog in need, the show’s official charity partner, Dogs Trust will be hosting a Village Green where visitors can meet dogs looking for a new home.
