A NEW exhibition featuring rarely-seen Beatrix Potter illustrations and early manuscripts from The Tale of Peter Rabbit has opened at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.
Nearly 900 visitors hopped along to the opening of Peter Rabbit: Mischief and Mayhem to explore the much-loved character through the ages via original artworks, first editions and early merchandise.
Visitors also got involved by helping Mrs Tiggle-Winkle hang up the laundry, visiting Mrs Rabbit in her burrow and planting carrots in Mr McGregor’s garden and dressing up as Peter Rabbit.
The touring exhibition will stay in Rugby until April 27.
