HISTORIC sites in Warwickshire are holding various activities for half-term.

National Trust sites in Warwickshire are hosting nature-inspired trails, wild art and welly walks.

Charlecote Park is will hold a February Half Term Welly Wander. The Trust said: “Kids can explore the parkland with the family as you adventure along the story-themed trail to create your own nature based story, using prompts along the route. Earn a crafty literature-based prize that links in to Charelcote’s World Book Day event in March.”

Baddesley Clinton, the moated manor house which was a former Catholic hideout, lets young explorers see how many things they can see, hear and experience on a nature-themed scavenger hunt around the garden.

Managers say: “Grab your wellies and splash through puddles, create some wild art with fallen leaves, bark and twigs and see what shapes you can spot in the clouds. In the barnyard grab some materials and make your own artwork out of nature with our bark rubbing activity. Afterwards sit down for a warming lunch in the restaurant with all the family.”

Other nearby sites with adventures for kids this half-term are Kenilworth Castle, scene of the longest siege in England, and the gardens of St John’s House in Warwick.
