THE MEN will be following in the tyre tracks of the women when top cyclists go wheel to wheel in Warwickshire.
The county will once again welcome The Ovo Energy Tour of Britain for the penultimate stage 7 of the race on Friday September 13.
Like the women’s tour in June, the men will start in Warwick, only they will line up at the racecourse rather than Market Square.
From Warwick the riders will set off on a 185km route passing through Kenilworth, Meriden, Atherstone, Bedworth and Wellesbourne.
Riders will climb Sun Rising Hill near Edge Hill before beginning the first of two full loops of a clockwise 12-kilometre finishing circuit around Burton Dassett and Farnborough.
Among those saddling up will be four-time Tour de France stage winner Dylan Groenewegen. The 26-year-old Dutchman has ridden in the UK’s biggest professional cycle race twice before, winning stages on both occasions. Joining him are two further stage winners Matteo Trentin and Cameron Meyer.
ITV4 will screen live coverage flag-to-flag of each stage in the UK, along with a nightly highlights programme of the best of the action.
The race finishes in Manchester the day after the Warwickshire stage.

* Cycling fans can beat the large crowds expected at Burton Dassett by using a free park and ride service.
Johnsons Coaches has teamed up with the British Motor Museum to put on a free park and ride service from the Gaydon museum to the country park.
Buses will run every 15 minutes between 10.30am and 2pm and will resume to take people back to their cars at the museum after the event.
