Teens as young as 13 arrested on suspicion of stabbing men in broad daylight

YOUNG teenage boys – the youngest just 13 years old – have been arrested on suspicion of stabbing two men in broad daylight yesterday (Tuesday June 8).

Officers were called at around 3.20pm to a report that two men had been assaulted by a group of males in York Street.

A man in his early 20s sustained suspected stab wounds and an 18-year-old man sustained facial injuries.

Both were taken to hospital by ambulance. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.




A 13-year old boy, two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

Investigating officer Det Sgt Charlotte Naughton of Nuneaton CID appealed for witnesses to the incident, or any suspicious behaviour in town that afternoon, to come forward.


Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 284 of June 8.
