COMMUNUTY champions from Tesco stores in Warwick, Walsgrave and Coventry have delivered Easter gifts to hardworking staff at local hospitals
The hampers, which include a selection of sweets, chocolate eggs and a box of fresh fruit, were put in the staffrooms at Coventry University Hopsital and Warwick Hospital to thank NHS staff for their hard work.
Community Champions, Melissa Hazell and Jayne Davoile organised the donations with the assistance of Tesco colleagues Jenny Simoni. Melissa and Jayne.
They said: “We really wanted the staff at the hospitals to know how much we appreciate all of their hard work and dedication.
“We’ve heard from friends that work at the hospital just how much small gestures like this mean to the staff as it gives them a well-needed boost to know they are appreciated.
“We thought the Easter hampers would be a lovely way to a bring a smile to their faces and it certainly did, as all of the staff were so grateful to receive them.
“We hope that these small acts of kindness offer a gesture of support to our doctors and nurses who have been working tirelessly to look after everyone in our community.”
