Warwickshire County Council expects another year of top A level results

WARWICKSHIRE County Council says it is expecting another year of top A level results.

Some 6,000 17 and 18-year-olds sat exams at schools, sixth forms and colleges across the county earlier this year.

And the council says although results will not be revealed until autumn, it is expecting successful outcomes.

Council education spokesman, Coun Colin Hayfield said: “Congratulations to everyone collecting their results. Once again Warwickshire’s young people have worked very hard for their exams and deserve these great results, we are extremely proud of their successes.

“Today is about much more than A Levels.  Students who have attained further education qualifications should also be congratulated on their achievements. The good set of results we are expecting is a testament to each individual and also to the first class teaching, support and encouragement provided by school and college staff, parents and carers.

“I wish everyone success as they embark on the next stage of their lives, in whatever pathway they choose next.”

For those who did not achieve the grades they hoped for advice is available through schools and colleges.
